For this 100,000m2+ retail mall, our team coordinated a programmable facade lighting system that integrates into architectural details giving the development a striking urban identity at night.
The illustration above demonstrates the facade hierarchical treatment that wraps the building with varying intensities of light. In order of brightness, the entrance facet is signified with most luminance, the corner plaza facet which faces into the adjacent plaza being the second, and the patterned façade being the least luminous.
As the centre of focus, the entrance surface is the most luminous to announce the building’s presence to the public.
Shown in red highlights, the proposed lighting composition accentuates the architecture materiality through subtle intensity shift. This results in a lighting arrangement that is integral and harmonized with the facade panelling.
